I'm only about 9 blocks from their ESB antenna, and I have extreme difficulty picking up Fox on UHF 44 (numerous building walls in the way). I use a highly directional Silver Sensor with the built-in tuner (~mid-2000 vintage) in my Philips RPTV. Only tuned it in once last summer and have never tried again.

But thought I read Fox was delivering the first Star Wars episode later this year. Also thought I'd read they'd run one of their very rare 720p broadcasts for another SF movie, Independence Day, some time back. -- John

Same in Stamford last night. Very strange, also with a DTC-100, I was getting a signal reading in the 70s but no video or audio. Did a channel search later, with off-air guides off and again with off-air guides on, and WNYW simply disappeared, both as digital 5 and as 44. In the meantime, WCBS was fine all night.
