or know how to get it to display the HD input? my cousin is trying to connect his Xbox 360 to this set (he got RCA to BNC adaptors) but he can't figure out how to select the HD input. it doesn't appear when he toggles through the video options. thanks for any help...i keep telling him how great COD II looks in HD but he's starting to lose hope.

If the XBox won't do 1080i, you're out of luck. Mits CRT RPTVs-from that era, at least-won't display 720p...

the xbox will do 1080i...the problem is getting the tv to display the HD input. after doing a bit more research it appears that the HD input on this Mits may have to be activated somehow from the menu. could that be right?
Yea... tell em to press the TV MENU button and then select NETCOMMAND... then select the REVIEW option... from there, he will be able to enable any input he wants. :)

odd, when he presses the menu button he doesn't seem to have a netcommand option.
The 65903 was before the advent of NetCommand.

I had a 65905, and my recollection is that you had to go into the "Initial Setup" menu to switch the HD input between RGBHV and YPbPr. I wouldn't stake my life on that, though.

I don't know what the sequence to get into the Initial Setup menu on the 65903 is. On the 65905 it was Menu-1-2-7-0. You might give that a try.
I just got rid of my 65903 a week ago after it giving me 6 years of pleasure.

My DTV input had been turned off "Auto" and to "1080i" for so long I may have forgotten how to do it but I'm gonna give my memory a shot if it's not too late (I just saw this thread).

I believe it's Menu + 2350. It may be Menu + 2470. After you're in the menu to change it, just change the DTV input from "Auto" to "1080i" and press Menu again to save and exit.

PLEASE be VERY careful not to change ANYTHING else on that screen. Don't ask me how I know. :(

If those codes aren't right, let me know. I can call the guy who bought my set because I have the codes written on the back of the remote. :)

Try this:

Press MENU-1-3-7-0 on your Mits. remote

Use the up and down arrow keys to select DTV INPUT. The default selection should be AUTO.

Press ENTER until the default selection switches to HD.

Press MENU twice to exit the service menu.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT MESS WITH ANY OF THE OTHER SETTINGS ON THIS SCREEN. YOU CAN COMPLETELY DESTROY THE GEOMETRY AND CONVERGENCE IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL!

Now you should be able to use the INPUT button on your remote to cycle through the inputs; there is now a new input immediately following ANT-B; this is the HD input.

crap...we finally got HD to work through the Key Digital transcoder...unfortunately the TV is horribly misconverged on the HD input and the autoconvergence doesn't want to hold. it converges it for a second and then goes back out of whack. even the manual convergence doesn't seem to want to work...after i converge the red and blue i can't press enter to end the process. this is the most frustrating thing ever. it's really depressing knowing how well this TV can look when performing properly. any reason why the convergence won't hold?

is there a FAQ for converging Mits sets?
