The good: adequate lumens.
The bad: SVGA LCD.
The ugly: screendoor, low contrast
Consider Sony VPL-CX1 XGA LCD for $1500 (2000 hr bulb for $250)or LT85 SVGA DLP for $1700 (1000 hr bulb for $320). LT85 is NEC's SVGA version of the infamous LT150. LT150 is only $2300 for XGA DLP. I think you'd be unhappy with the larger pixels of SVGA LCD. SVGA DLP has less screendoor (equivalent to XGA LCD) and has better contrast. Heck a Litebird PJ870 SVGA DLP is only $1300 from Dell after their frequent 20% discount.
