Ive searched and have found threads, but havent really found more recent reviews. Im considering replacing my basic 5 year old 100 inch Elite white screen with the 110 inch (cant go any bigger) borderless Aeon cinewhite screen. But Im not sure itll make a huge difference for me going the extra ten inches. I sit about 12 feet from the screen. I would also like the image to pop a bit more with my 5040ub and was hoping the cinewhite might help. Any input is appreciated.

+1.

I am looking at the same screen/size combo as well. I too max out at 110” and the border less design really helps.

Does anyone have any reviews on this screen?

Excited to hear your thoughts!
Hey Jrunr

Got the screen yesterday. Was a bit of a nightmare to setup but got there after about 5 hours of work!!! I have bought some additional led lights for the back of the screen too. First impressions are very good. I had a dalite 1.1 white gain pull down previously. I need to do some longer watching and may change some settings! Will take some photos as well.

Is there a difference between the Aeon and the dilate? Both or 1.1 gain, right?

I am also contemplating the cinewhite as well as the cinegray 3D... its going to be in a light controlled room, so i am not sure if it will be worth it to get the cinegray 3D, even though it has a gain of 1.2

No need to get the cinegrey in a light controlled room. The elite white is amazing. The dalite screen was fantastic.. Picture attached... But the elite screen is in a new league... Picture coming...

Ok... following in your footsteps... I bought the Aeon Cinewite 120" and it should be here tomorrow.

Couple of tips.....
Make sure you only put the corner springs in first then add the middle bar. Also ensure the corners are stretched over the frame corners otherwise you could have a corner wrinkle effect...you can stretch them a little bit and you can use extra springs if needed....learnt this the hard way by having to email then call support.

That looks great! I'm rocking a 100" Akia zero edge in my bedroom setup. If anyone's interested in saving some money Akia Screens are made by Elite and are exactly the same.

I really like the HT3550, and luckily mine has been relatively trouble free. The picture quality is just amazing, and it does a good job with hdr tone mapping. I still enjoy my 2050 but this blows it away imo. Just make sure you go with a quality fiber HDMI like a Ruipro.

Thanks Subcabra...i upgraded.the basement 2 years ago and channeled a 25ft monoprice HDMI 2.0 certified cable in prep for 4k upgrade...ummed and ahhed on the rupiro.... But went for the cheaper option... Hope i don't regret the decision as it was a nightmare to install and am definitely upgrading to a 4k projector very soon..

I hope that cable works for you! I've seen people running into issues. I lucked out and caught the Ruipro on a flash sale on Amazon.
Keep me posted if/when you upgrade the pj!
Also any other questions feel free to ask away lol

Thanks... With what I've read to date i would of spent the extra 130 based on the effort to setup... Fingers crossed...
How are you finding gaming on the projector.... That's the only thing holding me back on pulling the trigger

It's actually not bad at all. If you play COD/fps competitively the lag may bother you(I didn't really notice) but for casual gaming it's beautiful. Far Cry 5, Forza, Call of Duty 4 all look incredible. I played the new zombies map yesterday for an hour or so and it was great!
