Not sure if this is the right forurm for this, but I just bought the rockband bundle pack for my PS3 last night.

hooked up everything and works great, except for the Microphone.

I cannot get my PS3 to recognize it. I have the controller on and select it to use it, but then it will tell me, to please connect the microphone or non connected, which it is connected directly to the PS3 via USB.

Any suggestions?

Try switching the mic (controller) assignment to a number that isn't being used by another instrument (1-4).

I did try that once but am not sure if I changed it to something that a controller was connected to or not. It didn't work, but I'll try it again tonight and make sure it's on something another controller is not hooked up to.

Thanks.

Thanks.

It only works for me when all instruments are assigned numbers 1-4 for some reason. This is with RB2 and GH4.

Good luck!

When you say "It only works for me when all instruments are assigned numbers 1-4 for some reason"

do you mean, 2 guitars, 1 drum and the mic has to be hooked up in order for the Mic to work?

I have 2 guitars hooked up, but did not hook up the drum as I have the Drum Rocker on order.

guitars work fine, mic does not work.

Are you suggesting I need to hook up the drum for the Mic to work?

Thanks again.

Thanks again.

Sorry for the delay. No - you don't have to hook up the drum or another guitar.

For me, even if I just turn on the PS3 and sync one instrument, the game will load up but almost always when I reach the screen that says "press start", the instrument acts like it doesn't work. So then I have to navigate out to settings->controller assignments, and change the instrument to a number 1-4.

I'm not sure why the assignment numbers go so high anyway. When I go in to change them, they are up around 5-8 for some reason.

For me, what may be messing things up is that I'm also using the Nyko bluwave for my harmony 890.

Thanks Liquid,

I also use the Nyko bluwave thing.

I tried this again last night and unhooked the Nyko thing and it worked.

Maybe it has something to do with that piece?

I didn't have to do the number assignment.

Well, atleast it works now. This game is addictive, especially on the big screen with surround sounds.

Glad it worked Old. I agree it's addictive on the big screen. I'm playing on 100" with 7.1 system - how about you?

my screen is a 2.35scope 128" diagonal wide.

But I'm not sure exactly what size this amounts to when doing 16:9.

I currently have a 5.1 setup.

7.1 would be nice.

you can see pics of the setup in the link in my signature.

FYI 128 - 33% = 85.76.

You guys are right this stuff is super addictive and there is nothing like it on the big screen. I leave my lens in place and just let it take up the whole screen. My son plays resistance this way and we also play Soul Calibur. If your using a lens vs. zoom method give it a shot, I think it looks great.

Thanks Liquid, it was almost 1.5 years of work. Finally get to enjoy it.

Oman,

I just did the math, and the screen height is 50", so at 16:9 ratio, wouldn't this work out to about 100" or so inches diagonally?

and I have the Panny 3000, so I use the Poor mans zoom method. full screen would be neat!

Your right Old,

The math didn't quite work in reverse. 96.5 + 33% = 128.345 So you are closer to 100" like you said.

Perhaps someone knows the answer to this question?

I've heard that the Guitar Hero lll World Tour wireless guitar will work with Rock Band 2 (all PS3). Will the Guitar Hero lll Legends of Rock wireless guitar work with Rock Band 2 (still PS3)???

Thanks,

George

Answered my own question. Went out this morning and bought Guitar Hero lll Legends of Rock (Best Buy w/wireless guitar and game, $39.99) for the PS3 and the wireless guitar does indeed work with Rock Band 2.

The wireless guitar from Guitar Hero (non lll) game does NOT work with Rock Band 2.

Luck all,

George
