Anyone have success with powermate under girder?

Well, has anyone had success with controling girder with the powermate knob? I downloaded the plugin, but can't get it intalize the hardware....stays pink in the plugin settings in girder. Follwed the directions in the read me file, deleted the powermate registry entry. Can't get it to work with the provided software either...any insight? -Matt
