My favorite local movie theater uses these speakers. I watched 10 Cloverfield Lane last Thursday and on the way out of the theater at the end of the movie I saw that the surround speakers were Krix. First time I've heard of this brand.

I'm quite surprised you never had a reply to this post.

That said we've only had Krix available in the domestic market in the UK since early 2019. They're fantastic products and we're specifying them into our high end cinema systems. The MX-20 and MX-30 baffle wall systems are epic.

+1 to the above. Krix have some 70% or so of the Australian cinema market share from what I know.
The more recent MX range is excellent and perfect choice for an easy 2-way set-up, basically plug and play. Big dynamics and linear front sound stage.

Or if the budget is there Series X can be had. It's literally the pro cinema models with binding posts so home theatre users can utilise them.
Does need DSP and externally managed crossovers if you go the 3-ways & bi-amp but it's worth it!

Krix recently had a a launch for further MX series Wall Of Sound products to bring them to smaller systems. So now there's the MX-5 and MX-10 to add to the MX-20 and MX-30.
I'm led to believe there are bigger room systems to follow soon too. MX-40?

Also they have a new Phonix 30 to add to the options do that speaker. This has 30 degree front baffle for excellent use as front wide or Atmos front and back speakers where you need good angle in towards the main listening position.
I believe there is a Megaphonix version due too shortly.

Personally I'm just after a low depth subwoofer (passive) to using at the rear of cinemas for bass extension on the surrounds and as room wide bass response levelling. (Like the Triad Bronze 4 and Procella P10si).

For power amplifiers I've been looking at Lab Gruppen IPD and Powersoft MxxQ class D 1U units and the good old QSC DCA as good candidates.
