Thinking about upgrading the Parasound 2205a for a Llano V-plex 200 watt per channel amp. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

I don't know about the V-plex, but I've had the Trinity 200 for 2.5 years now and I'm very pleased. It replaced a Proceed HPA-2 (pretty good amp); the Trinity is warmer, smoother, more musical, but still has great bass control and the detail is all there (probably because of the quiet, black background). I'm no reviewer, so that's the best I can do to describe my thoughts on the Llano Trinity. I'd never had any tube equipment before, so was leary, but the Trinity has given me absolutely no problems, the input tube stage stays on all the time with no tube failure yet. I just recently replaced the stock tubes with some Amperex (the stock tubes still function fine) and am quite pleased with the improvements.

Agreed, for me the Trinity has ended my search for amplifier(s). Maintenance is a non issue. Ability to change tubes offers the ability for customization.
