I just recently got this game and it's a great game and tons of fun, but apparently it's even more fun when you know someone else who has the game so you can trade items as each game sports random items. Does anyone else out here play this game?

I have had Animal Crossing since last fall. It is a very fun game/thing, but not for the kill, kill, kill, shoot, shoot, shoot gamer.

I go into Animal Crossing every day or so just to check my mail and play some NES games. Yes . . . this game has 20 or so classic NES games hidden within the game.

hey MisterMe,

Glad to see someone plays this game....it is a great game. I was wondering if there was anything you would want to trade me for or anything you would give me to help me kind of build my village up. Let me know if you are interested.

The only NES games I have right now are Tennis and Pinball. I've heard of some universal codes to get a bunch more, but the ones I'm really interested in are Mike Tyson's punchout, Super Mario Bros., and Zelda. You wouldn't happen to have any of these would you?

Since I have been playing this game for awhile now . . . I have a lot of stuff already. If you need anything in particular though . . . Let know (I also need your town name and character name . . . case sensitive).

I have Punchout, Super Mario and Zelda . . . which of course are all awesome. Especially if you have a progressive scan TV you can play them in progressive scan.

Punchout, Super Mario and Zelda are not tradable though. The way I got them was to buy 'Ultimate Codes for Animal Crossing'. Look for this at your local store or you can order it only. This will give you all of the games and it is only 10 bucks.

Here are some pointers . . .

Getting a fishing rod as soon as possible and starting fishing the ocean. This is the fastest way to make money.

Don't just plant 1000 bell bags of money in the glowing spots, plant 30000 bags. This will pay off with 90,000 bells when the tree grows.

Don't trust universal codes. Sometimes this will mess up your save file(fixable though).

Hope this helps,

J

Hey MisterMe,

Thanks so much. I guess the things I would like(if you're willing to give them) are any rare pieces of furniture or some different pieces of fruit or some songs. I only have oranges now but would like to have a variety in the game. Also, if there are any very neat pieces of furniture/wallpaper/floor that you think are very cool, I'd love to check them out.

As far as the NES games, I've used a few universal codes to get games like Clu Clu Land, Donkey Kong, and Balloon Fight, but I'm concerned on what you were saying about using universal codes. So far I haven't had any problems, so are you saying that I could eventually have problems? How can they mess up my save file and if so how do I fix it?

What is Ultimate Codes? I've never heard of it. Is it some sort of cheat device or something? Where can I get it?

Thanks for the tips, they definitely help as I'm very new to this game and this type of game, so I'm a little confused as to what all I can do. I thought that the glowing spots on the ground was where I could dig up gold. Are you saying I should plant gold instead? I did get a shovel and have been digging up things around town. In any event, any more advice would be much appreciated.

My Character's name is: Homer

Town Name is: Petoria

Thanks again! I really appreciate it!!!!

animal crossing community is a great website you should check out. this game is like crack. i've traded it now, but for a good six months it was all i played. i had 4 memory cards for different towns and i bought the GBA specifically for AC. with the different towns, i had one set as the southern hemisphere so i could catch summer fish/bugs in the winter and the other three cards were set for central, mountain, and pacific time. the different time zones came in handy if i had to work overtime and got home after nook closed up shop in my original town.

i used universal codes on occasion and i never had any problems with my save files. i wouldn't worry too much.

the golden spots on the ground that you dig up bells from can be used to plant bells as well to grow a money tree. the money tree will usually yield 3 times the amount you planted. you can also bury a shovel in the golden spot to grow a "golden shovel" tree.

truly a great game, i tried the sims and hated it (too much micromanaging). can't wait for AC2. hopefully nintendo will tease us a little at E3.

Cool! Thanks MisterMe. I certainly do appreciate it. No problem about the work thing....I know how that is. I look forward to hearing from you. Please let me know if there is anything I can send you. Wish there was a way to return the favor.

P.S. Would you mind explaining to me about that Ultimate Codes thing?

Ultimate Codes is a game disc you can buy either online or in the store that will allow you to access things in the game that would normally be available.

The way it works is . . .

You place your memory card with you AC save file in the Gamecube and the Ultimate Codes disc in the Gamecube.

Then a menu comes up with various options . . . such as access the Zelda, Mario carts, etc.

You select what you want and it makes changes to your save file.

It will ask you to put in the AC game disc and start the game.

You will now have access to the extra goodies. Simple as that.

As for your codes . . .

I am going to send them to you in private mail.
