Anyone know of an app like this?

I have been trying out various software like MCE, OpenHTPC, Meedio, Myth, Beyond... etc etc... And their great, some have even worked for months with no hiccups or problems... But they all eventually die/slow somewhere. Or the interface gets clunky with hundreds of options to scroll through, requiring me to intervene... so I say.. let me stay in control. I have one independent htpc that I specifically built for the job in a miniatx htpc case and everything... also, my main pc with an nvidia card connected to my tv via svideo... guess which one is used the most? My main pc with media center and nview because you have instant control and wmp plays damn near everything with no tweaks or hacks.


What I'm thinking of is like an always on personal TV station... Instead of having the mce menu staring me into the face unless I want to watch a show it would instead show flickr photos, rotate weather/traffic images, pop up reminders and show newly downloaded podTMcasts. But instead of a remote or anything, you can use an application or webbased control panel to start/stop tv shows, movies, music, slideshows, and other media options.


It would basically be like what they show on the screen when you go to a movie theater before even the previews. AMC Moviewatcher TV...?


Anyone know an app like this?
