Fevrish is back http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/biggrin.gif .

"Imagine, similar LCD projectors on the market today are priced anywhere from $1,500 to $8,000!"

Gentlemen, I believe that we must be getting ripped off.

Well?

I read the original post for the first of the year. What happened? Did you get your lenses? Did you try em. Where's the rest of the story? It's painfully obvious to me that they are not a replacement for FP's, but I still would like to see the outcome of all this.

Perhaps there is another thread, I'll look for fresnel.

Update:

Ahh, I found it. I looked under Fevrish. Halcyon reviewed it. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/Forum10/HTML/005225.html

I can CONFIRM that all this and similat plans are HOGWASH BULL S***!!!!! Projecting the TV image through a lens does work(with questionable quality). In fact, this is how projection CRT's work. However, going through the lens reverses the image. The instructions tell you that this is easily remidied by turning the TV upside down. Try it. On most TV's turning it upside down turns the image green in places. I tried it with a Samsung 19" (brand new), and a JVC 14" Y-C computer monitor (Commodore 64). Completely useless! The people pushing this crap and ripping people off deserve to live lives of poverty and misery! OK, OK, yes I fell for it long ago, I'll admit it and yes I am embarrased. But I don't want anyone else to fall for it.

Well I already live a life of poverty so I guess I'll be well suited for delivering this product.

I'm not yet miserable though. I guess that will probably come with the many sleepless nights I will have after stooping this low.

Jay,

I did receive the fevrish package. But frankly I never got

up enough motivation to make the cardboard box contraption

which houses the lens.

Now that I'm thinking of becoming a fevrish copycat I surely

don't want to see it work. Then I would probably feel like

a real snake-oil peddler when I go to selling it. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

I do believe, however, that someone else also received a fevrish lens and made the box and reported back to us. But

I don't know how you would find that post (it was another thread if I remember correctly).

I just about fell off my seat laughing after seeing the picture of the contraption in the other thread. But after some reflection, there are some valid points he's making.

1. He has 1500+ positive feedbacks with only 2 negatives. That's truly impressive no matter how you look at it.

2. It beats most digital and analog projectors on one or more points.

o There's no screen door,

o The projector is dead quiet.

o No heat problems.

o No crawlies, rainbow, or hot whites

o Black level is great.

o It costs just over 10 bucks.

Maybe I'll use this as temporary solution until the ideal digital projector comes out. Anyone got a 13" TV they'd like to sell? http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
