Hey guys

First time linux user, just got Gentoo and KDE compiled and running with a bunch of help from a friend. WooHoo! I'm currently just testing this to see what it can do and have a question or 30.

So, I currently use Winders and Meedio on my touchscreen for whole house audio, weather and showtime info. Was wondering if anyone has used a Magictouch touchscreen with Linux and if the drivers work?

I'd really like to get mythTV working with the 2 most important being acess to my mp3's and weather forcast on the touchscreen. The thing is that this PC is used as my central file server and ftp server as well and I cant seem to make Windows stay alive for more than a week. Hence the foray into Linux ;-)

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Wes

This is my setup:

I saw your setup a couple days ago in the windows forum and you've done a hell of a job. Unfortunately right now mythtv doesn't have support for a mouse. So the touchscreen idea isn't possible right now.

Hmm, are you sure about that, mouse seems to work fine for me, allthough the cursor is disabled, so you kind of have to guess where the mouse is at, but that's no problem with a touchscreen i'd assume, since the mouse is at your finger :)
