I have the 4440RE and it works great. In fact, it seems like the replay unit changes the channels faster than using the remote. When I finally get 3.0 and I can map to the local channels properly, I will be really happy.

I would like to get an RCA DS4280RE receiver for my system, but I'd like to make sure that it can be controlled by my ReplayTV via a serial cable. The documentation says the receiver has a low speed data port, but I'd like to see if anyone has one and is using it with the ReplayTV.


Anything else I should know about purchasing one?

I have a RCA DRD420RE it has a low speed data port that uses the serial cable and telephone adaptor that came with the replay. They work great together.
