Anyone using Cheif PAN-1 Panamorphic lens support for Prismasonic??

1018 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Video
I found that Chief makes a anamorphic lens mount for the Panamorph lens, part# PAN-1, but I am curious if anyone has used it to mount a Prismasonic lens? It looks like a really clean bracket and I just wonder if it can be adjusted for the Prismasonic lens.

Thanks

Hi Matt,

We will release a new universal ceiling mount bracket for Prismasonic lenses in next week.

It works with most of projectors in market.

Here are few images:

I bought one and tried it Matt. It seemed like a great idea, but the actuality was a big no. The pan-1 neither extended far out enough to accomodate the H1200, nor was it stable enough to stay put with any reasonable amount of vibrations (subwoofer) with the lens in place.

I built the simplest DIY bracket I could think of without sacrificing ridigity:

I like Anssi's solution too, but I'm not willing to give up my Chief.
I figured someone had tried it. Thanks for the info and the DIY mount looks like it works great. I will figure something out.

Thanks

Matt
