Anyone using Microsoft IR receiver with the Motorola DCH3200 cable box?

I have the Motorola DCH3200 cable box that I am using w/ my Vista Media Center PC to record SD TV. The IR receiver is not changing channels. Now I also have an IR hooked up to via the Wireless Extender for my Harmony 890 remote and it has no problem changing channels. I have the IR emitters side by side. I even tried playing around by holding the Microsoft IR emitter in various place in the front of the cable box to see if it would change channels to no avail. Anyone out there having this problem?

I am having this same issue. I realize that this is a very old thread but I'm wondering if you resolved it.

anyone know where the IR receiver is on this box? Need to help a co-worker hook up an old Tivo.
