My 5040's S-video input is a Dish sat box, and the composite input is my Samsung SIR-T151 HDTV receiver. The Samsung is easily controlled by the Replay if I tell it that it is actually a DirecTV receiver. I get the correct guide data and the channel numbers work out. (I record prime time type stuff off the air because the image quality of downsampled HDTV is miles ahead of the compressed crapola I get from Dish.)

How can I get Personal ReplayGuide to show the handful of channels on my second input? I can add a new lineup at labs.zap2it.com, but how will the Replay know which device to tune?

The weird thing is, right now with no DirecTV/local info in PRG, it knows that the Replay has 2 channels with the same call sign, and if I schedule something on a local Dish station it will ask if I want the Dish channel (eg 13) or the OTA channel (eg, 1013). I just want to do that explicitly, exposing the 1xxx channels for the Samsung box in the PRG guide.

I hope that makes sense.

BTW I am running build 200 of PRG. Have there been any updates? The project page and disussion here are both quiet.

It works great....I have 3 lineups feeding my PRG.

Cable-Ready, Digital Cable, and Local Broadcast (I use WiRNS to remap this to be a satellite input for my SIR-T351s).

If the same station id shows up in different line ups (from zap2it)....PRG only displays the first one on the grid. But, if a ReplayTV handles it on multiple inputs, it will later ask which one to schedule the recording on. If you want the ReplayTV to always use one input over the other, just remove the channel from the other line.

IE: WCMH-DT is on my digital cable lineup and my OTA lineup...it only shows up as 714 (digital cable)....it finds the correct channel on my OTA RTV box. I only have an SD STB on my other ReplayTV so 714 has been removed (I have it exposed because I use the zap2it feed to also plan recordings for my HD-DVR).

DVArchive OTOH, doesn't work quite as well, since it uses channel numbers rather than station ids. Its a problem because channel #104 means DKIDS on digital cable and NBC-HD on my OTA box, or #106 is G4TechTV on digital cable and ABC-HD on my OTA box. PRG sees the digital channels in their place 104 as 104, 106 as 106....though NBC-HD (WCMH-DT) is 714, while ABC-HD is 1006 (since TWC and Sinclair don't get along).

The Dreamer.
