Anyone using "Pixel Perfect" display adapters to drive LCD, pj or Plasma?

I just came across these display adapters, which are obviously what is used in the professional display market for driving Plasma, also recommended by several manufacturers (including JVC SX21) for driving projectors.

I was wondering, is anybody actually using one of these instead of a Radeon, and if so, what are the differences?

Compared to the Radeon, these are pretty old - they are based on the Kyro2 (repeat: Kyro2, not Kyro3).

But they do include innovative software and exploit the Kyro's pixel-based horizontal timing, which is no doubt why LCD manufacturers like them. Best used for presentations (not 3d or video)...
