I don't seem to have the magic touch required to make this work.

went and got a usb mic pre after i discovered REW doesn't like firewire on the mac.

still no joy!

I think its a java issue or some such nonsense but its frustrating to say the least.


If there is anyone out there using REW with a mac please chime in

I tried using is this weekend, but I couldn't get it to calibrate the soundcard properly for some reason on my macbook pro. I also have windows 7 installed and it worked fine in windows. I used a radioshack sound level meter as my microphone through the audio line in though.

Try mtbdudex, he's had it working perfectly on his Mac for a few years now using a M-Audio MobilePre USB (same as I use on Win7). At one time he got a special file from John M to make it work; I'm not sure if that is still required. Anyway HTshack is probably the place to ask/search about getting it to work properly.


There must be others but he is the only one that I know of.
