I got an e-mail from my local TWC and they said they just got a shipment of HD converter boxes. I am thinking about droping Diretv and getting TWC digital cable with HBO and Showtime HD channels included and am looking for some feedback. Any one got an experience with a comparison of these choices??

I have the TWC hd box but I have never had a dish. However, there are a number of threads that have addressed this question. The bottom line seems to be that cable quality varies so much from place to place that there can be no definitive answer. I can only say that hd on my system is great and that it is likely as good or better that a dish. As for all the other channels, that just depends. The actual digital channels look good but the analog channels, typically 2 thru 65, don't look so good.
