Any impressions would be welcomed. I have heard the 16:9 material may be stretched vertically. Install is next monday...

I am in Cincinnati, BTW.

Thanks,

Bryan

Well, let me ask for some more detail- how will the TV deal with 16:9 source material (ie real HDTV)?

On mine it letterboxes them as would be expected. No distortion seen. This is on a Hitachi 61UDX10b.

what set do you have? My Proscan does not switch over, so all 16x9 is tall and skinny. Kind of annoying. But regardless of that, the picture looks amazing.

Sony's have that raster shrink down feature which will correct the geometry of a 16x9 source very easily on XBR 4:3 tube. I believe Sony calls it 16x9 enhanced.
