I have a 67" Sammy. Don't have model # on me.. I BELIEVE its the HL67A750?

Regardless, i need to get it on the wall and away from my now-walking kiddo. Need to get rid of stand and piers and all of those "toys" from him. Would buy us a lot of space anyway.

I searched, and read tons of threads, but most of them are replyless or links to hideous peerless mounts.

Curious if anyone has had an luck or success mounting a DLP on or IN the wall.

Do you have a fireplace? The last house I rented had one and the butt end of the DLP fit right in there, sat on the hearth perfectly, and the mantle was within a couple inches of being just right.

Or shop around for those BIG 3 section media cabinets that frame the TV, there's lots on CL.

you're not gonna believe this, I need to find the pic to show the actual engineering...

The neighbor of a friend of mine in Fort Worth had a 73" DLP that they couldn't manuever into their living room, so they sat it on the covered patio, outside, on a picnic bench, scooted up against the house and CUT A HOLE in the outside wall of their living room.....

This wasn't a sunroom mind you, it was a slab patio with a patio cover, no walls, just a tin roof.

Yeah, +1 on buying a new LED set. The cost of creating that cabinetry/hole plus the inevitable undo work is probably approaching the cost of a new set (and you should be able to sell the DLP - although the resale on them is just plain awful - maybe the 67" held up better?)...

I'm also curious / concerned on the resale.
