Something about the Pioneer 503CMX that's driving me nuts is its weird behavior when scaling high-contrast areas like white-on-black text. It tends to try and "smooth" it out. This makes the text on Millionaire look really nice, but makes all other such text look kind of lumpy.

In particular, the colons in the TiVo time bar look like little triangles.

I'm trying to make sure that I'm not hallucinating, and checking out all my options -- if someone here has was was my first choice, a Fujitsu 5001 or 5002, and a TiVo, could you take and post a quick close-up of the little "pause block" on the TiVo time bar? It would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Alex
