Anyone with RP-LCD have ZERO dead pixels?

Please don't post if you simply have not noticed them. I'm looking for owners that have looked closely at all all-black screen and saw NO blue, red or green dots. Stuck pixels are a major irritation to me. I'm contemplating a RP-LCD purchase and I just want to gauge what the industry is putting out their as "acceptable" :)

You are asking a question that is never going to get a "true" answer. First off, there are a ton of people who look for dead pixels and see none where as another person might walk right up and see several. It's just not a scientific thing.

I can tell you one thing for sure. Every single LCD Projection set has some dead pixels. The only question is how easily can you see them. Some are very hard to spot.

I had an LCD Projection set for a little over a month and it had no serious pixel problems on day one. A month later it devloped a pretty bright green one. Easily seen from 6 feet away.

If you're that worried about pixels or mirrors on a DLP you are probably better off getting a different tv technololgy that doesn't rely on pixels of any kind.
I don't know if *every* LCD panel has stuck pixels. In theory, you can have a perfect example of something.

But every one I have *personally* seen has had a stuck pixel here or there. Tiger is right in that there is a difference between noticable ones and unnoticable ones. Stuck Red Green or Blue pixels are quite noticable. I have none of them on my set. There are other pixels which are stuck gray or very dim green. I have 2 of these on my set. They are not visible from more than 12 inches (and then, only if you know where to look) I assume they happen because one of the 3 panels has a stuck pixel, but the other 2 panels function properly at that pixel location, lessening the obviousness of the pixel.

I've got 1 and half black dead pixels. Had it for about a month.
I've had my Sony LCD 50" GIV (Canadian Version) for about a month now and no dead pixels. I did notice one when I was upclose to load a DVD but when I got back to my seating position, I had no clue where it was. I checked again a few nights ago and couldn't find it so maybe it wasn't permanently stuck or maybe it wasn't dead after all.
Well, I can't see any with my 20/20 vision on my Sony GIV 55 inch LCD, so I'll say I have ZERO dead pixels !!!
Sony GWIII 50"....haven't found a dead pixel yet.

I've gone up to the screen examined the entire surface and couldn't find one.

I can guarantee that this is a false statement. Some do and some don't I do not know the frequency, but all sets do not have dead pixels.
I have ZERO dead pixels and TWO stuck pixels (and holding for about 2 months now).
Ranster, I guess I should have said "bad" pixels instead of "dead" pixels since some people only consider a "dead" pixel as one that stays off, where as I consider a "dead" pixels as one that is either stuck on or off.
I've had a GWII for a year and a half with zero dead or stuck pixels.
One month with my 42WE655 and no bad pixels.
I 've looked over the whole surface of my Panny and couldn't find any dead, stuck, or otherwise offending pixels :)
You guys just proved my point perfectly. ;)

What one person calls a "dead" pixel another calls a "stuck" pixel, and then another person calls it something else. :p

There is no definite way to get an answer to all this stuff. I'm convinced that almost every single LCD Projection tv has some dead or stuck pixels. Either way they're there. Some are far more noticable than others which leads to the mass confusion about what is "stuck" and what is "dead".
I've had 2 GWIV 42" LCD displays, the first 1 I had to return because it had a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen that I could see from 12 feet away. After my return, the second one has no dead pixels and no stuck pixels :)

What difference does it make what label it is given? Out of simplicity, call it a "problem pixel." That still doesn't change the fact that some people have not found any on their displays.
Panny 60 inch LCD. Zero stuck pixels. At least none that I can see from 1ft away....scanned it close when I first got it and do a quick closeup check periodically.
