I got a samsung 4273 about 3 weeks ago. And it is not starting to have problems. The screen would shut itself off, but the unit is still technically 'on'...so just a black screen. After about 10 minutes and power cycling the unit, it would work fine again.

This has happened on 4 Occasions now.

2 times watching a movie from my computer on the plasma

1 time while playing 360 via component

1 time while playing Wii via RCA

all times this happened was about an hour into playing/watching. I called samsung and the guy said I need to be home to help them trouble shoot this...but I work mon-fri and I have 2 jobs so I'm never home when samsung phone lines are open. I am wondering if it is worth it for me to take the unit back to the dealer and exchange it. I still have about a week or so...or maybe something else is causing this?

Thanksl!

Hmm well is it cooler in your house at night? Did it shut down during the day?

If support told you to return it, I know I would without question.
