Anything better in the same price range as the Procinema 600?

Is there any other speaker set that looks decent and is in the same price range as the DT PC 600? Also, is it better to stick with the original sub or can I use another subwoofer and have it not mess with the sound signature of the set as a whole? What's a good 8"-10" sub that would go along with the the procinema speakers? Thanks.

I'd recommend the def tech SM350 which can be had for $179 /pair: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882325059

It'll run circles around the PM600. 3 pairs would run you $600 (that's 1 extra speaker though) leaving you $200ish for a decent sub. Definitely worth the step up if you can accommodate the larger speakers. At one time I upgraded from PM1000s to SM450s (the SM350s bigger brother) and the difference was significant.

Amazon has the 600 for $799, so around that range. Although I can get them much cheaper if I look hard enough.

If going for a system, I would look at the Focal 5.1 over the 600 > the Sib has a bigger woofer

You can save for a better sub in the future.

However, I would look at the SM-350, that was suggested above first. They are $129 a pair

after a $50 rebate.
