This will be for 90% HT, I have dual SB-2000s for my 2.2 music setup upstairs. Setup is Triad Bronze LCR in wall in the front, some Paradigm in ceiling speakers as surrounds.

I'm wondering if there's anything better out there for Canadian buyers, please let me know your thoughts! CAD$1279 for dual PB-1000s, CAD$1079 for single PB-2000.

Cheers all!

Edit: Also my wife has asked me to ask you all about in wall sub options. Though I don't feel like cutting more holes lol

Unfortunately in Canada not likely. I just looked through four pages of Canuck audio mart and nothing in that price range will out perform the PB2000. One PB13U asking $1900 and a Funk 18.0SE asking $3500. I'd say the only way other than DIY is either 12"/15" Rythmik/PSA/HSU and landed cost will still be about $1600 Canadian. but will out perform the PB2000.

+1 and your are a very patient man, to go through four pages.

While I know the PB13-Ultra was going for $2800 CDN, when it got discontinued a year or two ago.
I would be satisfied getting $2000 CDN, for both of mines.
As long the potential buyer would pay cash, and pick it-up here in Alberta.

Stay away from in wall locations. Subs are very finicky when it come to locations.
So where it might look better aesthetic wise, it might be the worst spot sound wise.
Here's a good read about sub settings;
Guide to Subwoofer Calibration and Bass Preferences
While long to read, it is full of useful information's. And normally require reading two or three time to digest everything. It is worth it.

I'd try and be patient checking on CAM.... regularly. I sold my PSA xs30se with upgraded veneer (cordovan cherry) for ~1100.00cdn....good deals can be had... the gentleman who bought my sub....was coming from a pb2000...imo...it's the ultra or bust....going with SVS.

Here's a possibility on CAM... fwiw. Don't know where you live (in Canada) but I know selling or shipping sub is a pita. I sorta compromised with my buyer...worth a shot!

I do live in Cold Lake, around 3 and half hours away.
While I do know it is over your budget, and I am in no rush to sell them.
I was more responding to @indebtbassfreak about the price, since it would be 2 PB13-Ultra for a total of $2000.
Not meant as an advertisement, but as a comment:)

I was very interested until I saw they were 155lb each lol. I'm not going to risk breaking myself moving them into my basement. That's more than I weigh haha

Agreed, that's a hell of a good deal....having moved a buddies pb13u it's no easy feat... especially navigating stairs... you'll need 2 folks as you would with the pb2000 imo.
But the difference between those models would be well worth the effort...pending no budget restrictions.

I just moved 2 196lb v3601's into my basement and it was surprisingly not bad! Having a good moving dolly and my father to help made it all pretty painless.

The reason for such a low price, around my area. Selling high quality Audio gear. Is near impossible:(
I still have an AV8801 and JVC X-30 1080p front projector, collecting dust in there boxes.
But if I was selling, anything related to hunting or trucks. It would be sold within days:eek:

Big +1
I would not try this myself, without a hand truck or movers straps (the one that fit over your shoulders).

I hear you loud and clear on this one, since I only weigh 128lbs. And just move one of my sub to the back of the room, from it's previous front location.
No lifting involve, just slid one corner at the time. Was it easy, no. Took me about half an hour.
Anything going through some stair, I would not even try. Unless using without a hand truck or movers straps, with minimum two people.
Or four people, if going by hand.

Since your thread got derail for your need. I would suggest for your $1200-1300 CDN budget.
To start looking around your area, for a sub or two. That would fit your need and budget.
Never know what's out there, and might find a ruff diamond price for a shiny one:)
And you can always come to this forum, to find out if it is a good sub or not:)

Good luck in your hunt, and all the best to you..

I hear you, my Ex's brother lives there and is involved in a truck club lol. Same for me as i know of nobody else in my neck of the woods that is into audio like myself. The only + i have is when i do sell something its well priced and anyone knowing me knows i take care of my stuff and its good quality.

As for the OP,,, i cant suggest enough,,,,, to convince Darth to sell,,,,, best Canadian deal ever!!!;)

While it suck for living in a area that no else is into Audio. You are know to be the King:)
I respect the reason from the OP, and honestly. I am in no rush to sell at this point, the reason I not advertise-it anywhere. Since I still got to save $6000, for my next ones.

More of an annoyance unfortunately as there is no way to tame the bass in my place from the neighborhood other than -22mv:( Next house (been looking) will be on a much larger lot.
