Because of the current state of the economy, I have a bit more, er, "free time" than I was expecting to have right about now.
But while I am not currently employed full-time in the CE industry, I will be heading to CES anyway. (I'm actually doing some freelance stuff there, so I've got something of an excuse
)

Is there anything you guys would like to see from CES? Any specific companies you are expecting new things from? If so, let me know, either on this thread or DM me, and I'll find out what I can. No promises on getting an exclusive with Bill Gates, but I will be checking out anything HTPC related. My camera will be my Android G1 phone, so quality will be questionable, but I can post directly from the show which is nice.

No updates from the Adult Video expo this year, though!

A new bitstreaming TMT, in addition to updated HDAV 1.3

A 20th generation digital tuner that will pull in ALL channels from 50 miles away in any direction of the compass. Oh wait, cable and satellite may not approve, they gave more to the campaign.

A review of which new 1080p HDTVs will have:

Improved upscaling for SD programs.

Improved pixel adaptive de-interlaceing

Improved 120Hz motion compensation.

Impression of 240Hz motion compensation.

TV's are of course going to be everywhere, so I'll definitely look for the backlit LCDs and the general improvements for 1080p.

And I suspect (well, know actually) that there will be all sorts of new online content plug-ins from all the players in the connected space. I'll for sure have news about that.

Keep 'em coming!
