I know it isn't cool to list prices on AVS. I'm a proud owner of a HD-XA1 and have a friend who is looking for an HD-DVD player. I'd like to steer him to the HD-A2 but he wants to spend closer to $400.


Is there any reputable dealers that I should point him to? I checked some of the bigger ones and they all want list price. I got mine from Robert at Value Electronics but it appears that he is offering it for list as well (+ free movies) unless there is a link I am missing.


Again, don't post any prices, but if anyone knows reputable dealers selling the HD-A2 cheaper than list please let me know where to look. If there is a link I'm missing for a deal at Value Electronics, that would be awesome!

Why get a used one for $384. Get a new one from Robert at Value Electronics with 2 Free HD-DVD's and take advantage of the 3 free HD-DVD's from Toshiba.

I got mine from Best Buy for $389 including the 2 free movies because they matched Office Depot's price of $399.
