"we are using the same 1" tweeter and 5-1/4" driver as the 522D, but will add a 4" midrange and a passive 5-1/4" driver"

The new center will post sometime tomorrow. Should be interesting when paired with power towers and 522's!

Hey guys. It's nice to see some more Aperion owners out there. I actually posted a picture of the new center on 5/19. Click on the following link which will take you to the thread with the pictures. I pre-ordered mine two weeks ago and it arrives on Friday. Needless to say I'm terribly excited. I wasn't aware of the trade-up on the center. You just pocketed me $180! They're doing the same trade-up program on the new dipoles that drop in a little under two months!

I heard the new center at the H.E. 2004 show in NYC. It seemed to blend well with the rest of the sub/sat Aperion system. I'll post more from home when I have my notes in front of me.

Hi guys. Just a reminder, the center is available NOW. But you're right, it'll be posted on our Brand New Website tomorrow, late afternoon (around 1 PM PT). The wonderful upgrade program we've created for existing customers is in effect, so just call or email and ask us about it, and we'll fill you in.

I hate to do this to your wallet, but Aperion's new center channel is probably the second best addition to my home theater setup since my Harman Kardon AVR630. I don't even have to speak on how nicely packaged the speaker arrived at my home. The center has a very sophisticated styling to it, but it's as heavy as a monster. My friends definitely took notice that I had a new speaker on top of my television without me saying anything. The sound is amazing. The voice presentation on the speaker wasn't bright ............... I had assumed there was no way a speaker with this type of configuration wouldn't have a bright sound that was too forward. Needless to say I was wrong. This speaker outputs sound in a very crisp and concise manner. Voice presentation was reproduced wonderfully, so much so that when I put in a test DVD (Master and Commander:Far Side of the World) I found that I had watched half of the movie before I realized that I was actually testing the center channel. I had grown accustomed to listening to movies at around -20 dB on my receiver. I found out that the only reason I listened to it at this volume was because I would often miss too much of the dialogue in that it was muddied. For the new center I had to lower the volume to -30 dB which is the level I listen to my DVD movies at comfortably. This was one of the better investments I've made in 2004. To sum it all up. Aperion's new center channel reproduces movie dialogue, music vocals, and song instrumentation with clarity and precision. Go ahead and pull the trigger ...................... it's worth it!

LMAO.

Now, if I buy an Aperion set anytime soon, since we're in June, is that new center already included in those sets?

Hi David. Sorry if there was any confusion. I was simply answering the previous gentleman's question, clarifying for him what comprises a system.

Hey Ben,

I see you noticed there is a fine line you'll have to walk on this site as far as actually working for Aperion and being able to post in a manner deemed "non-threatening" ..... LOL! We appreciate all your help in answering questions. I probably wouldn't have even heard of you guys if it hadn't been for this site so I would encourage you to post here and there just to answer questions. We appreciate all your help. It would be nice if more speaker manufacturers actually addressed consumer questions in a manner like this. Your direct chat option on the site is one of the best features I've seen and really made me feel comfortable in dealing with Aperion. The new center rocks and I'm sure once I unpackage those power towers tomorrow I'll be floored ........................ no pun intended!

Yeah, sorry I didn't catch that either. Kind of close, but no harm done. We just all have to be careful around here.

I echo hummer28's sentiments. I'd love for all sorts of manufacterers reps to come to sites like these, take the masks off, take the PR off, and meet with the consumers straight up.

I respect the fact Aperion is one of a pretty healthy number that had the guts to come out and chat with us like real people.

It's always a pleasure. I find that the forums are a superb, wonderful way of meeting people and discussing these topics. We've learned a great deal from our customers on the forums (and especially people who aren't customers) and will continue to do so. No masks, like you said....

Cheers,
