The SlingPlayer Mobile app version 1.2 is available for $29.99 from Apple's App Store. The updated version, released Feb. 15, is a free upgrade for existing users of the SlingPlayer Mobile App, EchoStar said.


The app provides access to a Slingbox connected to a cable or satellite set-top box over the Internet to let users watch TV and recorded programs.

I'm starting to think Apple is planning to renew their exclusivity agreement with AT&T. This along with the ability to make VOIP calls over the 3G network are measures to soften the blow.
