I've recently picked up a DTC-100 with an amplified indoor antenna and can get all digital stations in my area fairly well (2 stations at 65 strength and the rest at 76-80). The antenna is actually on my second floor and running to the receiver on the first floor through the existing in-wall cabling (RG-6).

I've been able to watch clear programs for hours, however, I've noticed that whenever appliances turn on/off or some flourescent starters turn on, I will get an accompanying dropout from the receiver. Things like the bathroom fan, dishwasher, refrigerator, even my fishtank filter, when cycled will usually cause a dropout. All of the items are well away from the receiver and antenna (> 25 feet).

I've tried isolating the receiver and antenna from the house electrical wiring by using a UPS to power them, but the problem still occurs.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Thoughts, ideas, suggestions on fixing it?
