Is there any known reason given why it takes so long to get basic games onto Live Arcade? I would have thought there would have been a lot more available and a fairly constant stream of games coming weekly. Is there some type of control or plan at MS that you think is there that makes them hold stuff back or limit stuff, beyond just quality? Were not talking games that should take forever to program and release, imo. Just a bit disappointed with how sluggish it seems. Other then quantity I still do enjoy those games quite a lot as does the Mrs's. and it's a great idea, nothing to go down on at all there. Semi-Minor concern.

Also there should imo be a lot more video's (not movies to download). For example a "featured band of the month". How bout a featured band of the day!

It's pretty clear that MS holds back games so as not to allow new releases to compete with each other. In the months following launch the delays were understandable because they needed to negotiate contracts and convince publishers that Live Arcade was viable. But the pace has remained glacially slow, so the desire to keep games from competing can really be the only explaination.

Those basic games, typically just emulated ports with some menus and (occasionally) online play, can't take long to program. I'm still surprised that we can go weeks between releases. It feels like they're not capitalizing on the demand for product.

There have been a few threads about members' dissatisfaction and satisfaction with the Live Arcade. Overall I'd have to be counted as disappointed, and the sparse release calendar with an abundance of ancient arcade ports is a big part of it. I've had about 4000 points sitting unused since late summer and all those sales for points. Even thought about getting more points in the buy.com sale but there's nothing on the calendar that interests me anymore.

Could care less about the movies or tv downloads. I have HD cable with a dvr and a ps3 with blu-ray, and only a 20gb 360 HDD. That's just too small to have a proper HD experience, even if their downloads were faster.

I just want more compelling arcade games.

To make matters worse the old music videos don't appear to be available anymore either.

I met a man (at E3) whose company was doing the video per month progam and I know he was expected a lot more music videos to get rolled out.

Wonder what happened to the music video plans? MTV is a partner so perhaps a plan is underway.

I agree, they need to release more titles on arcade. Nintendo seems to be doing alright with the virtual console (can any of you offer some comparisons, pro or con). I would also like to throw this out there, as a wish list title for xbox live arcade, "Streets of Rage Remake."
