Just a simple question. A friends wants to buy one but I told him replacements bulbs used to be very hard to find. Are they still?

anyone bought a bulb lately?
Did you try looking? It's called a search engine. I found one for sale on the net in about 10 seconds. http://ww1.onecall.com/PID_22862.htm
I just bought a bulb a couple weeks ago--it seems they are readily available now at the major vendors.

I am glad we have people like you with such an amazing ability to search the internet!!! Thanks you so much, maybe one day I fill find one of these engines in which you speak. Like you, it must be an amazing tool.
To answer your question Madman300, yes. Bulbs are still incredibly hard to find.
Thanks for the answer. I found places online that had them but when you actually got down to ordering it they were out of stock. The only places that seemed to have them were some noname companies.

there was a thread earlier for reconditioning your bulb. I have not been able to locate it with the search feature. If someone has the address could they post it or pm myself?

Greetings,

The link that Jayrader posted is a good one. I bought my Sony HS10 ( the HS20 uses the same lamp) from them. I ordered a lamp from them and received it with 8 days after they advised that they were out but expected a shipment. If their site indicates they are in stock then they are. I have been dealing with them for a number of years now and they are very reputable.

I am not sure what 'noname' companies being refered to but some vendors do have them is stock. The price is not much more than the reconditioning costs...
