My receiver is 32 bits. The top sound cards have only 24 bits. Logic would say that it would be better just to pass the DTS signal to the stereo, and let the stereo do the work.


What advantage does the PC sound card have here? If you are a musician, I totally understand the idea because of the digital recording features. For home theater playback I can't see why the PC sound card would be a good investment over a high end stereo.
