I've still been relying on my ISF calibrated 4:3 36" Hitachi 480p/1080I HDTV, as I watch a great deal of sports, and am also a gamer.
I'd really like to get an LCD for the reason of size, brightness, power consumption, geometry, and sharpness of picture. Those now outweigh my desire for perfect greyscale and black levels.
However, it seems like most television still suffer from input lag and/or ghosting on 720p/1080p. Or some TVs have a lag if if has to take a 480i/480p signal and upscale it.
Which 40-42" television is held in the best regard for gaming/sports?
Thank you.
