Ive heard that the zenith does a lackluster job at upconverting to 720p. Any alternatives for my 720p native projector? Thanks.

Tubby: May I suggest running a search in the current threads using up conversion or up converting or scaling + componet to the before mentioned terms and you will find information on other players that will meet your needs (though it is somewhat limited and will not be expanding beyond what is currently available due to studio concerns). There have been several on going threads that have throughly discussed this topic.

Search on Denon DVD-1910, DVD-2910, DVD-3910, Momitsu V880 deluxe, Sony DVP-NS975V, Panasonic DVD-S97S, Pioneer DV-59avi, LG LST-3510a, Samsung HD841, and the Zenith DVB-318. If you want a really bad upconverting player, IMHO, then the Toshiba SD-5970.


The big question: Do you need upconversion via component? If so, your choices are: Momitsu V880 Deluxe, or *old build* Zenith DVB-318 (and never, ever apply a firmware update).
