Just took the plunge... are these DVI cables any good for hooking up my STB to my TV? Don't want to spend $100+ for a cable.

Except for an unlikely possibility of getting an example that was eaten by a mouse in the warehouse, that'll do just fine. There is absolutely zero difference between picture qualities of different brands of undamaged DVI or HDMI cables under 16ft in length.

That cable looks fine, as Gray Wolf said.


The funny thing was in their description:

-Ferrite core prevents EMI/RFI Interference for more reliable transmission

But thats not what ferrite cores on a cable like this do.


Cores like this are used to prevent either of the devices that are plugged into the cable from radiating EMI/RFI noise that would interfere with other devices.
