Have 2 tower speakers and a subwoofer in my possession and at the beginning stages of creating a home theatre. Wondering if they are solid pieces or I should be looking into replacing.

Some background info before getting into the speaker and sub specs..

- Receiver: Onkyo HT-RC160

- The space needing to be filled with sound is approx. 500 sq. feet with 9 foot ceilings.

Speaker info:

- Phase Technology 5T (two 33.5" towers, 6.5" diam. woofer)

Subwoofer info:

- M&K VX-7 (14" tall, 8" woofer, low pass filter knob label goes from 50Hz to 125Hz)

Both the speakers and sub are barely used and in pristine condition, but originally purchased approx. 7 years ago.

if they work, use em. spend that money on the next weak link in the system. then, as you keep fixing "weak links", eventually, sooner or later, you will come back to those speakers.
