I'm definitely < 1.00 kdr but not quite that bad. I barely play FPS's so I don't really worry about how poorly I do when i do pick one up. I'd still rather get my ass kicked online then play single player though. It's much more exciting the odd time you do manage to pull off a 20-5 round or something.

I just have to learn to be patient. I "run" around a lot. That's probably my problem right there.

For me it depends on the guns I have currently. I was pretty bad until I unlocked the Famas. It also helps to get the perks slotted to your game style. Play around with them and see if that helps at all. Small changes can make a difference.


Knowing the maps is important. I also like to run with a teammate. If they draw the initial fire from the enemy you can sometimes get some easy kills! Practice makes perfect!

Yes FPS on consoles is so stupid. If they ever allowed mouse keyboard setup then i would be in. Otherwise, im sticking to my PC for games like these. I also would want them to add PC and consoles to merge online so the console people would see what i mean, right?

My best K/D was MW2 at 1.25. I was so proud of that. But I've been as low as .75.


In general I find as the game ages that I can't keep up w/ those that have unlimited time (teenagers, college kids, maybe AVS folks who are not married or not working or what have you). My 10 hours per week total is probably what some folks do in a day.


Twitch games rely so much on repetition and map knowledge - I just can't keep up after awhile.


After having plowed a inordinate amount of time (for me anyway) into COD4, WaW, and MW2, I am loathe to try again for Black Ops. I might skip it this time.

the killstreak rewards that are in the current crop of COD games really does not help the people who are not as good. Black ops is a step in the right direction with no kill stacking, but the chopper gunner is still way over powered. Especially on some of these smaller open maps. I dont play barebones because my buddies seem to prefer the core matches, but generally i prefer a straight up gun fight. I would rather play MAG for that reason, even the bots in KZ2 got annoying at times but nothing like COD...
