Well CRAP!


Just got a call from the place I bought my HLM617 and they tell me that it will be 3-5 days before it gets in town and then I get to schedule delivery. The CRAPPY news is that the damn STB is not going to come with it, which means I will have NO SOURCES TO WATCH WHEN THE %*$%&* TV gets here. Man, this sucks!!!


Talk about unhappy campers... ugh!


Just needed to vent...

Man, that really sux.... At least you aren't stuck waiting for the Dish Network 921 HD/PVR that was supposed to be released this month, but has since been pushed back to August/September

Yeah, I'm not real happy with the "no TS-160" thing. On a POSITIVE note, I should be getting my TV on Friday between 12 and 2. That leaves me a whole weekend to monkey around with Video Essentials, my old DVD player and all that jazz. Can't wait to order my B&K receiver now!!! Oh well... at least I should be able to post on how crappy/not crappy the built in audio is on the TV.

What exactly is preventing you from getting the 160 somewhere else? It isn't exactly hard to find, at least not around here. Every BB has them.

It's already bought and paid for at this other place. Was supposed to be delivered with the TV, but they evidently don't have anymore and this distributor. Now I have to wait until they get a new shipment in.


I guess if I wanted to just check out local broadcast stuff I could go buy a TS-160 and return it when my actual unit gets delivered. I just wouldn't get DirecTV until after I had my actual unit since it needs to be activated with it's own serial number and stuff. Fun fun fun.
