I'm not sure what it means to us even if it is true. I just read it and felt one may want to read...

I guess the ebay bidders got a decent deal afterall.

I'm very glad to have found one at MSRP. Since then I've bought 3 games and 2000 microsoft points, so I'm doing my part to keep MSFT afloat... ;)

It means $60 games.
Games have been $60 since Super Nintendo ... I don't believe that article one bit. To each their own.
R&D is not a reoccuring cost.

People figuring it into manufacturing figures are stupid.

That is all.
I can't access that website from work, but I did read on a website last night at home that someone was claiming it costs MS $700 each to make the 360. I don't know if that's the same article or not but I find that VERY hard to believe. MS has deep pockets but I'm pretty sure after the hardware loss they took the first time around they aren't willing to go that route again much less take a MUCH larger loss on the 360 per console. MS may not be making a whole lot on each console, but I somehow don't think they are losing any money on each one this time around.

$60 games aren't enough to make for a loss of that magnitude.

This might be the article (or at least a similar one) your talking about Blkout. I would just copy and paste it as it is small but I believe that is frowned upon in here.
