Installing an LCD TV on the ceiling in your condo vestibule is a unique idea for showcasing the view from your security camera. Having the TV on all the time to display the view from the camera is a great way to keep an eye on your surroundings and ensure the security of your property. However, it's important to consider a few things before installing the TV, such as the size of the TV and how it will be mounted securely to the ceiling. Additionally, you may want to consider adding a timer or motion sensor to turn off the TV when no one is in the vestibule to conserve energy. Overall, it sounds like a great idea that could add an extra layer of security to your condo.

Note, wyze hd stream is only about 100-150kbps max. Don’t expect a 100% representation of what you see when you look up with your eyeballs. Might be worth to first see how it looks when projected to an ordinarily mounted tv first, to verify it meets your expectations (image quality wise) before polling the trigger on the full project.

Just want to make sure there’s no major color stepping/dithering to separate the shades of blue.

That was my thought too. The video quality from a security cam is probably not going to be the best. And someone else mentioned, if it’s going to pointed up, it will accumulate moisture, dirt, bugs and maybe even bird poop more than one angled down.

LoL at "bird poop".

I am mentally picturing the OP sitting back on the couch, putting feet up on the coffee table, grabbing their favorite beverage and then looking up at his/her 85" LCD TV "sky light" and seeing the biggest bird turd ever known to man lurking eight feet above their heads....

I plan to install an LCD tv on the ceiling in the vestibule in my condo that will always be on that will show the view from a dedicated security camera that's pointed up at the sky.
Some comments suggest doing this will enhance security of your home.....if the camera is always pointed straight up at the sky, how does it enhance security? Are you expecting a drone or bomber attack? Sorry couldn't resist 😆 None the less, I'm sure it will look cool.

Yeah, but the purple color is quite striking!

OP, better to run a recording of the night sky. Solves most of the issues with cameras. Plus, you can swap from the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern Hemisphere, for variety!
