Asking help for a new reciver..

Hi,
First of all sorry for my bad english.
Recently I have an Onkyo tx-nr609 receiver, and would like to change it, because its already dying.
I live in the UK and must buy it from amazon uk. My budget is maximum 450 gbp!
Mainly I would use it for movies from Pc, and Ps4. And occasionally gaming from ps4.

At the moment I could changed my old speakers to "new" used one what i am going to use for a year, and planning to buy a good set next summer. These are Celestions 4ohm speakers C2(2 front) c4 (center) c5 (6ohm surr).

So far what Ive found:
Sony STR-DN1080 / found tons of positive rewievs, but doesnt suppor offically 4ohm speakers however it can be used with it on 6ohm settings on lower volume?! /
Pioneer VSX-LX303 / Could get it the same price as the 934, as i heard it is better somehow, but a saw it could get an "AMP DIAG" error... Im sure it would give headache just like Onkyo's DTS chip did../
Pioneer VSX-934 /also couldnt find to much about this receiver../
Denon AVRX2500H
Onkyo 686

Could you give me some advice about these receivers? Im really interested in the Sony, and Pio 303.. But i left there the Denon and Onkyo if those are better than these.
Thank you,
Robert

@illes95 those are good budget choices but not sure about driving 4ohm speakers very loud for any extended period of time.

thoughts....

686 - good power, tons of features, ok room correction
x2500 - good for ht and a better room correction solution with audyssey xt, plus phono imput this year
lx303 - 9 channels but mixed reviews on actual power - see this https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/review-and-measurements-of-pioneer-vsx-lx303-avr.7503/

IF you could step up to the denon x3400/3500 or Pioneer lx503 you would get preouts for an amp and never have to worry about power.

The Sony will drive your 4 ohm speakers as long as you don't exceed 50% volume for any significant period of time.

Thank you, will look around more.
I just seen in the Sony's topic that, 4ohm speakers was fine for some of them, and it went into "protect" mode to the others. considered that 4 out of 5 speakers are 4ohms, and 2 of them would be bi-amped, im sure it would go protect mode for me too..
So as I see Sony is out, sadly because I liked it the most of these..(Might consider to choose this, If I get that "protect mode" I can easily returnt to amazon for 30 days cant really lose anything but time) I think I leave Pioneer too, I found something that those might have some warminig issues, and the Diag mode.

Will look around, check more about Onkyo and Denon, I dont feel I'd need preouts so I would stay at x2500. the 3500 would costs 200gbp more for a feature I might not use in the future. So far I found that Denon have a more HT sound than the Onkyo's.

There are lesser Denon models than the X2500H that could be worth considering, but amazon.co.uk either doesn't list them or has them at ridiculous prices.

The 2500 has settings for use with 8, 6, or 4 ohm speakers. Whether you should actually change away from the 8 ohm setting is a subject of discussion.

amazon uk has quite less product to choose from in this price range... I've just seen the mentioned x3500h is on "deal" however its still 150 more than the x2500h and 100 more than the Sony but it might be a best choice.
Get the X3500 from Amazon while its on deal.
Thank you for all your helps.
I went for the x3500h. Hope I feel difference compared to my Onkyo txnr609 :)

I hope you are happy, but I won't be surprised if you feel no difference. All receivers have pretty much the same power within a few decibels. You may hear a sonic difference. Try the Audyssey feature, that can help smoothen the bass.
