What do you guys thinks of this bare bones system?

It's made by Asus and looks perfect for an HTPC. Supposed to be pretty quiet, and is very generous with ports. Pretty much integrated everything. Even has PC card, MMC, SD, SM, and memstick slots. The DVI, SPDIF, and firewire ports are also noteworthy. A lot of I/O for such a cheap rig.

The only drawback is the SPDIF jack being on the front instead of the back of the case.

You can get it for $189 here:

Add in another $500 for a P4 2.53GHz, 512MB DDR 2700, TV Tuner card, DVD-ROM drive, and an 80GB hard drive, and you've got a nice complete little HTPC for about $700 or so.

Anybody have any experience with this system?

I saw that acutally on newegg.com tonight and was wonderingthe same, I'm pretty sure thats what they were going for; but it seems like its lacking a few things to be a complete htpc box. - I'de got with something else. just IMO.
