In the past I have been an owner of both the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X. But a few months back I had paired down my gaming collection and systems to just Xbox One X.

A few days back the disc drive went out on my Xbox One X and Best Buy is offering in-store credit for the warranty, so I was on the fence about whether to go back with the One X or the PS4 Pro.

I can currently get the gold rush Xbox One X Battlefield 5 bundle for $399, so it would essentially be the same price as a current PS4 Pro.

They are both fine machines -- pick one and enjoy.


If I had to own only one it would probably be the X, but that's because I've invested in MS's Gold + Game Pass for the next couple years. The PS4 Pro has some great exclusives and a nice VR option, so there's advantages to that console, too.


Best option: own both.

If you're into virtual reality games, PS Pro. If not and you want all the high graphics game that you can get, still get the PS Pro. But if you're still in love with the exclusive games with Xbox then go for it. Other than those exclusive games, graphics, games, live streaming capability and VR modes I'm still going for PS4.
