Athena Point 5 + Datyon 300-635 or Athena AS-P4000+ Receiver?

Note: I didn't know whether to post this in the Speaker section or the HTIB section, so Mods, please feel free to move this to its appropriate section!

After reading many a post on which speaker system to get, I think I've finally chosen the Athena Point 5 MKII system. I just wanted to get some advice on which subwoofer to get. I've found that a lot of people recommend getting either the Dayton 300-635 or the Athena AS-P4000. They both cost the same ($150), but have some different specs. The Dayton 300-635 has a 12" driver with a built in 150 watt amp, whereas the Athena AS-P4000 has a 10" driver with a built in 400 watt driver. I was hoping the AVSforum community might help in distinguishing which would be the better subwoofer for me.

I plan on setting up the system in a medium size room in my basement and am probably going to use the system mostly for movies, using it to occasionally listen to music. As my budget is probably going to top out at $500 to $600 range, I'd also like to leave some breathing space for a decent receiver. If anyone could suggest a good receiver to go along with this system, I would much appreciate it!

So in summary:

Speakers : $200, Athena Point 5 MKII- From Amazon

Subwoofer option 1: $150, Athena AS-P400 - From Amazon or BB

Subwoofer option 2: $150, Dayton 300-635 - From Amazon

Receiver: $150-$250, Up in the air at the moment...

For a total cost of $500-600 (Def. has to be under $700, though).

Thanks for your help, everyone!

Doh! And to think that I am a person who advocates using the search button before asking a question on other forums. Sir, I thank you for those links!
Highly reccommend Xsub over at www.********** email to see if they have a b-stock to get extra money off. Great sub after it breaks in and can give you a nice deep loud rumble. Go with the xsub, you should be happy and its a strong quality build :) !!
Both subs are the best you're going to get at this price point. You won't go wrong with eather one. The most common advice from people who have experience with both subs are that the Dayton is slightly better for HT and the Athena is slightly better for Music. I listen to over 50% music so I went with the AS-P4000. Since you stated that it will be used mostly for HT, I would recommend the Dayton. You can get the 12" Dayton for $150 right now the athena is a 10" sub.
It is worth remembering that the Dayton has always (to the best of my knowledge) sold for $150 while the Athena was originally over $350. I like my AS-P4000 and find it plenty powerful enough for a 12' x 12' room.
