Athena setup and speaker selection . . . HELP!

Don't have all the pieces yet, but here's the set-up for my 17x22 room:

Onkyo TX-SR604

AS-F2.2 (front l/r)

AS-C1.2 (front c)

SVS PB12-NSD

Trying to decide between Athena AS-B1.2, AS-B2.2 and AS-R1.2 for surround speakers, but I need them wall-mounted. Room has LOTS of openings and certainly isn't very "enclosed", but the seating/viewing space only uses about 2/3 of the room. I have a good 8 feet behind the couch. My thoughts are leaning toward B1.2s for surround, but the large footprint on the wall and the bulking size may be a deterrent for my wife.

So, will R1s work as well as B1s or B2s? The Athena site mentions the R1s using the walls to reflect the sound, but that may not help in my situation because I have so many openings (2 7' gaps and 3 open doorways). As a last thought, PB12-NSD and two F2s too much low end? (or can you really ever have too much?) lol

BTW, system use is about 80% tv/movies, %15 video games, and 5% music.

If you're going on-wall definitely go with the R-1's as they're designed for it. The bookshelf models are rear-ported so you wouldn't want to mount them on the wall anyways. And yes, there is no such thing as too much low-end. :D

What about the s.5 for surrounds? Will I be sacrificing too much going to a smaller speaker in a room that big? I've heard that surrounds don't really need to be all that big, but is the s.5 only for smaller rooms?
