Problem:

...ATI 7500 OEM has a noisy heatsink/fan attached

Solution:

...Ordered the recommended Zalman ZM17-CU heatsink from DC

New Problem:

...How do I remove the OEM-supplied heatsink from the graphics chip?

...Note that the fan was affixed with 4 small screws;

...Heatsink appears to be epoxied :(

Hi Edmc:

___The one item I highly recommend is that you place a small but dense cloth between the screwdriver and the PCB of the card itself while prying up on the GPU HS. It not only works like a charm but lessens the chance for damage to the card itself. I believe I posted how to do the freezer trick and remove the HS some time ago but I could not find it just now. Afterwards, use Paint thinner or other solvent to remove the ATI goop for a clean GPU surface.

___Good Luck
