My HTPC Spec:

Asus P4s8x-x (sis 648 chipset) MB

Pentium 2.4 overclocked to 2.7 GHz

320 W PSU

512 MB Kingston 333 MhzPC2700 DDR CL2.5

ATI Radeon 9500 PRO with 3.2 catalyst driver

Sharp 17LL -T17d-3B LCD Monitor set to 1280x1024 @ 60Hz

Bla Bla Bla

I do not have any problem with my HTPC playing DVDs, music and even the high def liquid 2 wmv, until lately when I started playing graphic intensive games such as the Splinter Cell, Max Payne, etc. About 3-4 minues into the game, my monitor always go into blackscreen (no signal) and system will hang. Sometime the graphic will just freeze.

What is causing this phenomenon? Plse help me out. THank you in anticipation .

Hi CH Yeow,

Before this, my card was over-clocked to 350MHz using patch driver + rivaturner. The problem still exists and is not due to over-clocking.

I now trying to update my MB bios but the file from ASUS is corrupted and could not be opened.

I missed the gathering with our HTPC enthusiats in Spore as I was away for a short holiday. Any chance of it happening again? Count me in the next time.
