I am still fighting this.

I am running Dscaler with a ATI 9700. Using power stripe I can get excellent 1280x720p either anaog VGA or digital DVI but not both at once. I need both active at the same time.

If I load the ATI Control Panel, I can get both to display but I can't get HDTV spec 1280x720p with the ATI control panel. The ATI 1280x720p is locked at 4x3. Furthermore the ATI control panel fights Powerstripe and wins. Power stripe is not effective while the ATI control panel is running.

The system works great running DVI into my projector at 1280x720p using powerstripe and just the base ATI driver with no other ATI apps installed. Problem is I need output on both VGA and DVI.

Any ideas? I'm not adverse to replacing the 9700 if there's a better solution but it must have the 9700 scaling qualities.

First see if "hide modes that this monitor cannot display" is unchecked under monitor properties page. Check device manager display devices-should have 2.

Powerstrip does not work w/ CAT 5.4.

You are running dual monitors aren't you??

Good luck...mike....
